BERMUDA DUNES
The community of Bermuda Dunes is a rarity in this area of the Coachella Valley. Unincorporated, it falls under the jurisdiction of Riverside Co., so it has some unique properties. Short Term vacation rentals and event sites are allowed (check with County to confirm your usage), and there is a surprising mixture of rural properties such as Byron Pl, hidden on small side streets. Located approx 19 miles east of Palm Springs, it is between the cities of Palm Desert, La Quinta and Indio, and encompasses approx 2.9 sq. miles. Official elevation is 30 ft. above sea level, but the surface drops by over 80 ft. from West to East.
Bermuda Dunes formerly had the name of Myoma (the water co. name now.) The Bermuda Dunes Country Club and golf course was developed in 1958 and opened in 1962. Home owners in Bermuda Dunes enjoy an atmosphere of space and a touch of rural life, yet very near to shopping, dining, Interstate 10, and Hwy 111.
